In February, the Upper Peninsula Regional Center hosted a table at the Bay de Noc Community College Health Career and College Fair in Escanaba, MI.
Shelby Santti and Elizabeth Leutz shared what it’s like to work in the Community Health/Federally Qualified Health Center setting and the patient population served. They also shared information regarding the various Health Resources Services Administration (HRSA) National Health Student Corps (NHSC) Scholarship and Loan Repayment Programs available to health career students and health care providers serving Health Provider Shortage Areas (HPSAs).
In March, the UPRC team also hosted a table at the Winter Semester Job Fair at Northern Michigan University in Marquette, MI.
