Upper Peninsula Regional AHEC News

UP AHEC Program Director Shelby Santti and Administrative Assistant Beth Leutz attended the UP Healthcare Workforce Summit in June at Northern Michigan University in Marquette, MI. Shelby gave a presentation on CMA training and apprenticeship models and the Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) Employee Upskilling Program she is implementing at the UP AHEC host partner Upper Great Lakes Family Health Center (UPGLFHC). The event was a great networking opportunity and much helpful information was shared with collaborative partners across the region and major players in the UP regional healthcare arena.
