Michigan AHEC Presents at MPCA Workforce Summit
Michigan AHEC Associate Director Leon Hudson, Jr. and Southeast Regional Center AHEC Executive Director Tekiendria Batts gave a presentation about Michigan AHEC at the Michigan Primary Care Association's Workforce Summit on October 6, 2022. Their presentation included activity that Michigan AHEC's FQHC regional centers conducted at their clinical sites, including placing health profession students at the site for community based experiential training. The event was held at the James B. Henry Center in Lansing, MI and the theme was "Health Center Workforce: Investing in Your Human Capital." The summit focused on state-wide and regional compensation and benefit data for Michigan health centers, how to use and incorporate data into compensation and benefit planning and innovative programs and resources that can be leveraged to recruit and retain Michigan's health center workforce.
